April 8th is the last day of classes this term.

For those of you who will be graduating, it’s a good time to prepare for your future employment options. In fact, the sooner you start preparing, the less painful this transition will be.

As part of Grad Navigate, Co-op and Career Services offers a number of career-related workshops just for grad students.

There will be a one-day comprehensive workshop on Feb. 20 that will help you prepare for your transition into the workforce. Upon completion, you will receive a certificate.

Wondering how to prepare for job interviews? Why not attend the Interview Skills workshop on Feb. 26?

Thinking about what skills to add to your resumé? On March 6, the Skills Identification workshop will identify your skills and how to best communicate these to potential employers.

There’s a Resumé Writing workshop for grad students on March 12, an information session on March 13 on How to Create an ePortfolio, and a workshop on Networking Strategies for Grad Students on March 26.

Are you thinking of looking for work outside academia, then, come join us on March 18 for Career Exploration Outside of Academe. You might also want to read stories from our PhD alumni series on this topic. Each person shares his/her personal journey and provides career tips. Yvonne Collins from Career Series has several concrete tips on this subject in the following video.

Co-op and Career Services is always happy to meet with you for an individual coaching session. Just phone 613-520-6611 or email career@carleton.ca to book an appointment.
