The Department of University Communications (DUC) is offering media training on Wednesday May 31st from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in 617 Southam Hall.
This workshop is intended for participants who are already giving media interviews or expect to be interviewed in the near future. It will focus on promoting your research to the media. Facilitated by two experienced former journalists, this workshop gives participants concrete skills and tips for interacting with members of the media. Participants will give a mock interview, some of which are taped and shared with the group.
Media Training will be of particular interest to upper year graduate students (in at least the 2nd year of their program) who are interested in learning to discuss their research effectively in media interviews, particularly television.
To register for this workshop please email email@example.com. Please note, the registration for this workshop is restricted and you will not be able to participate until you hear back from Beth.
As there is often a wait-list for this workshop, please notify firstname.lastname@example.org at least 48 hours in advance if you need to cancel your participation.
This workshop may not be used for TA paid training hours.
