Reading Week Writing Bootcamp for PhDs

February 21, 2017 — February 24, 2017
Time: 1:30 PM — 4:30 PM

Location:506 Tory Building
Cost:Free
Audience:Current Students

Question: What do you get when you put some light refreshments, some PhD students, and a dedicated facilitator in a quiet space?

Answer: A chance to get some serious writing done.

Perhaps you, like so many other PhD students, wonder whether writing is an elusive, mythical animal that visits everyone else but you. Or perhaps you, like so many other PhD students, have a plethora of words that seem to exist anywhere but on a page.

Whether you are a PhD student working on drafting a journal article or putting the final touches on the conclusion for your dissertation, this Writing Bootcamp is for you.

What to expect: Sessions will last three hours per day for four days. Light refreshments and a quiet space for writing will be provided.

At the opening and close of each session, you will have an opportunity to focus on your personal writing plans so you can make and track real progress. On the last day, all participants will be invited to form a writing group and time will be set aside to begin to work out the specifics (where, when, and how often to meet, etc.).

To register for the Bootcamps that will be held each afternoon (1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.) from Tuesday, February 21 to Friday, February 24, 2017 in 506 Tory Building please complete the form below.
