Awards Update

Master’s students can find out if they won an award from the Tri-Council (CIHR, NSERC, SSHRC) by going to the portal website. Once you accept your award, you will then have two weeks to return the following form to the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs, in order to initiate your payment. GET FORM

OGS award recipients should be notified by email about their results in mid-April. The Tri-Council agencies should inform PhD students of their results through the mail in late April.

Important Dates & Deadlines

ACADEMIC DEADLINES

April 8 – Last day of fall/winter and winter-term classes.

April 8 – Last day for academic withdrawal from fall/winter and winter-term courses.

April 8 –  Last day for handing in term work and the last day that can be specified by a course instructor as a due date for term work for fall/winter and winter-term courses.

April 9-10 – No classes or examinations take place

April 11-26 – Final examinations in winter term and fall/winter courses may be held. Examinations are normally held all 7 days of the week. Please note that examinations will not be held on April 18-20

April 18 – Statutory holiday, University closed.

April 30 – Any balance owing on your student account will prevent access to marks through Carleton Central, release of transcripts and official documents, re-registration

May 2 – Deadline for fee payment or assignment of funding to ensure payment is processed to your account without incurring a late charge. Payment of fees is due by the posted deadlines.

May 5 – Full Summer and Early Summer Courses Begin

May 9 – Late registration charges take effect at 12:00 a.m. (midnight)

May 12 – Last Day for Registration and Course Changes for Early Summer Courses

May 16 – Last day for registration and course changes for Full Summer courses.

May 16 – Students who have not deposited (via automated upload) the final copy of their thesis to the office of the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Affairs must register for summer term and will not be eligible to graduate in Spring 2014.

May 19 – Statutory holiday, University closed. No CUOL course broadcast.
