Important Dates and Deadlines


Check out our winter term professional development training opportunities on the Grad Navigate website. New workshops are being added on a regular basis (most recently two new media training workshops.) Click on the following five bullets for current training opportunities. TAs can count these sessions towards their training hours.

You will note these Mitacs workshops: Skills of Communication (March 12) & Networking Skills (March 24).

You can always access online training through Please note that these training modules do not count towards paid training hours for TAs.



Now – Feb. 21 Fall-term deferred examinations will be held

Now – Feb. 20
Winter Break. Classes are suspended.

Feb. 25 Last day for UHIP refund applications for International Students who will be graduating this academic year.

March 1 – Last day for receipt of applications from potential spring (June) graduates. Application must be made via Carleton Central.

March 1 – Last day to upload the EXAMINATION copy of your Master’s or PhD thesis for your thesis defence in order to graduate in June.

March 6 Last day to submit, to the Paul Menton Centre for Students with Disabilities, Formal Examination Accommodation Forms for April examinations.

March 24 Last day to pay any remaining balance on your Student Account. An account balance may delay Summer 2015 course selection.

April 3 Statutory holiday, University closed.
