Thesis Jumpstart is a suite of workshops from Carleton’s MacOdrum Library that supports graduate students who are writing their dissertation, thesis, or master’s research essay/paper. The library offers workshops as well as one-on-one assistance.
All graduate students are welcome, but if you are working as a TA, these workshops can count toward your paid pedagogical training hours (if completed during the term of your employment).
Workshops planned for this year:
Using NVIVO for your literature review (Oct. 3): Learn how to use NVivo, a qualitative software tool, to help you analyze the literature.
Literature Reviews and Citation Management (Oct. 17): Learn strategies for finding literature and managing your review with citation management tools.
Research Data Management (Nov. 21): Learn about storage, access and preservation of your research data.
