New Resources for TAs

The Educational Development Centre has created a page on cuLearn – the TA Resource Exchange. This page is for TAs to share ideas, tips, resource materials, videos and anything else TAs think other TAs would appreciate. After being enrolled, TAs will be given Teacher/Designer privileges to move freely about this new community of practice uploading files, downloading useful material and participating in discussion forums. TAs can join by emailing samantha.shortt@carleton.ca.


Awards Update

OGS winners have been announced. Awards information will appear on the student’s account once they have registered their selected start date. Tri-council Master’s awards will be announced through the Tri-council’s research portal on April 15. Vanier Canada Scholarships and Tri-council PhD results will be announced once the agency has provided an updated timeline.


Financial Assistance

Students in financial need should take advantage of the financial assistance programs announced by both the provincial and federal governments, as applicable. Students who are in need of emergency assistance and are not eligible for other government programs, can complete the Student Emergency Fund In-Take Form available to graduate and undergraduate students to receive funding for essential expenses that may have arisen as a result of COVID-19.

As Carleton moves to an online learning environment. the Carleton University Bookstore is offering FREE shipping on online orders, Click here for detailed information.


Professional Development

Graduate Studies continues to offer career workshops, one-on-one writing consultations, and Individual Development Plan consultations, all online. For more information, please visit the professional development website.


Career Assistance

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Career Services has transitioned to operating remotely.


Health and Counselling Services

During the pandemic, Carleton’s Health and Counselling Services remain open virtually. All booked appointments will be converted to telephone/video conferencing appointments that will be initiated by your physician at your designated appointment time. For counselling appointments, your counsellor will telephone/video counsel you at your designated appointment time. For urgent care (walk in) or crisis counselling, please call 613-520-6674. You will be triaged by telephone to determine the safest way to provide you care.


Therapy Dogs Go Virtual
