Important Changes are Coming to Cmail on October 1
Microsoft is rolling out email security enhancements for all customers, including graduate students using Cmail, but you may need to switch email apps before October to keep accessing your inbox. Microsoft has introduced a new method of authentication called Modern Authentication and, on Oct. 1, 2022, apps that don’t support it will lose access to Cmail. If your email app doesn’t support Modern Authentication you will need to download the Microsoft Outlook app for all mobile, desktop and laptop devices, or switch to Outlook on the Web using a browser. For next steps, visit our information page or contact the ITS Service Desk.

Virtual Fall Career Fair
All Carleton students and new grads are invited to attend the Virtual Fall Career Fair on Wednesday, October 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.! The Career Fair will give you the opportunity to:
- Chat with recruiters and professionals one-on-one. Meetings will take place as speed-networking-style conversations (about 10 minutes). This is done primarily through text chat, though some employers may use audio or video calls.
- Explore full-time, part-time, and co-op opportunities and browse current job openings. Employers are encouraged to post job postings on their virtual booths so attendees can familiarize themselves with the opportunities that are available.
- Discover a range of organizations to see if you would be a good fit now or in the future. View the current list of organizations alphabetically or by program/degree. New employers will continually be added in the lead-up to the fair.
- Practise your networking skills, including honing your elevator pitch (in text and verbally) and identifying organizations that interest you. Career Fairs an excellent opportunity to grow your contacts and knowledge of employers.
