Graduate Student News
Today is Remembrance Day. This year, Carleton is honouring this day with a special commemorative video. Watch for it on the university home page. As well, flags will fly at half-mast and wreaths will be placed near the flag poles for those who are on campus and wish to stop by to pay their respects. Members of the Carleton community are encouraged to observe a two-minute moment of silence at 11 a.m. today.
The Graduate@Carleton newsletter is typically distributed every Thursday morning. The next newsletter will be sent to you on Nov. 18. If you have any questions, please email us at: fgpa_newsletter@carleton.ca.

Winter Term Update
Winter 2022 courses will be offered through a mix of face-to-face and online delivery to provide maximum flexibility for students, in line with the recommendations of the Carleton University Scenario Planning Working Group. The winter 2022 term will see more in-person classes than fall 2021, and we are also planning some classes with increased capacity limits, but we will continue to follow Ottawa Public Health’s recommendations for physical distancing in instructional spaces.
The winter 2021-22 class schedule and registration course planning tool is available in Carleton Central and includes which courses will be available for in-person and online learning.

Coming On Campus?
Please be reminded that access to the tunnel system at Carleton University remains restricted to authorized individuals and those with approval to use the tunnels for accessibility purposes.
As of Nov. 15, 2021, we will safely increase capacity limits in our athletics facilities and dining locations. Throughout the winter term, we are looking to provide more opportunities for additional in-person student engagement activities on campus outside of the classroom.
Anyone coming on campus must complete the COVID-19 screening self-assessment every day through cuScreen. You will also need to use a QR code when you enter buildings. And you also need to complete the vaccination attestation form and submit this as soon as possible. You can find the form in cuScreen after you have logged in.
To find out when departments, including Graduate Studies, are open on campus, click here.
