The Wisdom Exchange Project is a social connection project that aims to connect older adults with graduate students and postdoctoral fellows to spark new friendships for people that wouldn’t normally meet. Through this program, they want to emphasize the importance of exchange between students and older adults by fostering an online social community.

In addition to this friendship exchange, the Wisdom Exchange Project has a secondary type of knowledge exchange. It hosts knowledge translation webinars by students and faculty members who will be invited to share their research on diverse topics, such as brain health, nutrition, and urban planning to promote healthy social communities. The goal of these presentations is to translate research for community members interested in learning more about the research that students and trainees are working on.

Their website with further information can be found by clicking here.

If interested, volunteers can complete this confidential questionnaire. The questionnaire allows the coordinators to match interested members based on mutual interests (e.g., language, hobbies).

If you have any questions, please feel free to email wisdom.exchange.project@gmail.com.
