Participate in CHRB Community Consultations
Message from the CHRB Co-Chairs
Dear members of the Carleton community,
As Co-Chairs of the Presidential and Provostial Task Force on Community Healing, Rebuilding and Belonging (CHRB), we are pleased to announce the launch of the community engagement and listening phase. This phase supports the Task Force’s objective to identify and evaluate situations, developments, perceptions and processes that undermine collegiality, safety and belonging for all members of the Carleton University community and what we can do collectively to address them and build a truly inclusive Carleton.
Share Your Experiences
Members of the community are invited to share their stories, experiences and ideas. Your voice matters, and your insights will help us strengthen the sense of belonging for everyone at Carleton.
There are several ways for community members to provide their feedback before the community engagement and listening phase closes on Oct. 15, 2026:
- Complete an anonymous online consultation form,
- Send an email to the Task Force or
- Participate in a consultation session. Consultation sessions will be listed on the CHRB website by the end of July and registration will open in September.
Input gathered through this process will inform the Task Force’s report and recommendations.

Thank you for your patience while the Task Force took the necessary time to plan the path forward while drawing on the counsel of Indigenous Elders. We appreciate your continued support as we work together to ensure our campus is one that fosters an environment committed to healing, rebuilding and belonging.
Sincerely,
Cathy Malcolm Edwards and Sarah Todd
