Graduate Environmental Engineering Student Jordan Smyth has been awarded the Water Environment Association of Ontario scholarship. WEAO is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the preservation and enhancement of Ontario’s water environment.
Smyth is an MASc student in Environmental Engineering, working under the supervision of Prof. Banu Örmeci, Canada Research Chair in Wastewater Treatment Engineering, on optimization of sludge treatment processes.
Smyth’s award and $1,000 scholarship will be presented at the Awards Luncheon at the WEAO 45th Technical Symposium that will be held on April 11, 2016 in Niagara Falls.
