In line with our strategic commitment to strive for wellness and to further enhance support for our student’s academic, personal and professional potential, we have established an inaugural Associate Vice-President (Student Health and Wellness) to better streamline and synergize our health, mental health and wellness services and programs for students. In the same vein, we have also reviewed and redefined the Associate Vice-President (Student Affairs and Student Life) position.
We are very pleased to announce that two outstanding members of our community have accepted these important leadership roles at Carleton:

Kristie has served as Director, Health and Counselling Services since 2019 where she has already demonstrated remarkable leadership in streamlining access to, and expanding and diversifying, counselling services. Kristie has also been critical to the university’s response to COVID-19 and is highly regarded in the Ottawa health sector. Prior to joining Carleton, Kristie worked at the Pembroke Regional Hospital as Clinical Manager of the In-Patient Rehabilitation and Acute Mental Health Units and has experience in infection control and as the emergency response coordinator for the hospital.

We would like to extend our sincere thanks to everyone who assisted in the selection processes for both of these important positions. Please join us in wishing Lisa well as she heads into well-deserved retirement, and in congratulating Kristie and Jeremy on their new appointments!
Sincerely,
