All Carleton students are invited to give their feedback on a Draft Self-Identification Survey.

Carleton University’s success, now and into the future, must be built upon the best information, evidence and data available about the experience of all our students, faculty and staff through the lens of equity, inclusion and Indigenous ways of knowing and learning. To support this goal, one of the first priorities determined in the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Action Plan is the need to internally collect disaggregated demographic data for all students, faculty and staff. This data will be anonymized and used to help inform equity-driven programs and projects campus-wide.

This is a chance to voice your opinions about how you want to be counted on campus. The Department of Equity and Inclusive Communities (EIC) invites students to provide feedback on the Draft Self-Identification Survey before the survey goes live in fall 2023.

You can provide your thoughts online through the online feedback portal until Sunday, April 30, 2023.

Alternatively, if you’re part of a student group that falls under one of the designated groups listed on the website and you have yet to confirm your closed consultation session with EIC, email RashedaGillis@cunet.carleton.ca before the end of March.

For more information, please check out the main Draft Self-Identification website.
