Carleton University will be closed from Tuesday, Dec. 24, 2024 through Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025 inclusive for the holiday season and will re-open on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025.
Holiday Building Closures
During the holiday closure period, all campus buildings will be locked. Authorized students, faculty and staff may gain access using their Campus Card at card readers in buildings equipped with that technology.
Campus Safety Services (CSS) will provide access to buildings on an emergency basis only. The CSS Communication Centre can be reached at 613-520-4444 in emergencies, and 613-520-3612 for general enquiries.

Library
MacOdrum Library will close on Monday, Dec. 23, 2024 at 6 p.m. and will re-open on Friday, Jan. 3, 2025.
Residence and Dining Services
Residence will be closed for the holiday period. Only those students who have registered, received permission and paid to remain, will be eligible to stay in residence over the holiday closure. For all others, residence will be closed from noon on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024 until noon on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025.
The last meal served in the dining hall will be breakfast, which ends at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 22, 2024. During the closure period, no dining service outlets will be open. The first meal served in the dining hall will be dinner on Sunday, Jan. 5, 2025.
Recreation and Athletics
Athletics facilities will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 25, 2024 and Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2025. For more information regarding specific facility operations over the holidays, including the Ice House, Fitness Centre and pool, please visit the Athletics website.
